Mojang released Minecraft in 2011. You can dig, build, and survive in this blocky sandbox game. The whole world is made of cubes and you can change almost everything.

Game Modes

Survival is the main one. You chop trees, mine stone, and fight mobs to stay alive. Creative is where you get unlimited stuff and just build. Hardcore is like Survival but one death ends it all. Adventure is for maps other players make.

Engaging Features

The gameplay feels wide open. You can dig caves, build castles, or just farm animals. You need a safe house because zombies and skeletons make nights dangerous. Because each biome—deserts, jungles, and snowy peaks—looks different, exploring them is enjoyable. Multiplayer servers add minigames and challenges, which can feel like a totally different game.
